| Comar’s bitumen drum decanting plants are designed to clean and efficiently remove the bitumen for the 200kg drums they are stored in. Prior to the drum being loaded onto the decanting unit, it is opened. The drum is then inverted and hydraulically pushed into the decanter where the bitumen is heated and at the optimal temperature, is dispensed out of the drum and contained in a holding container in the plant. The bitumen may then be pumped to awaiting tanks. The levels and temperature of the bitumen is controlled via PLC. Capacities average from 1litre per hour to 3000 litres per hour. | |
